However, I had a flagship series Xiaomi 12 and in July it was still on the March security patch, so it’s just as bad for updates. However, it doesn’t matter if a phone is a few months behind on security updates. It makes no difference if you receive it 3 months later. The next update will usually take you to the previous month’s security update anyway. The overall software experience and optimization is the most important thing

The Android freak, 9 hours agoI am Motorola user. I share experiences here. Trust if you want. Moto Edge 20 Pro/30 P… moreHad a Motorola Edge 30 for about 2 weeks. Stock Android is so boring. And from the looks of it, I’m not a fan of this UI.
Also when it comes to updates, Motorola is the worst of them all. In the 2 weeks I’ve had this phone I haven’t received a single update (not even 50MB). And in late July I was April 1 security update. Even when I had some budget Realme or Xiaomi phones in the past, I got about 2-3 updates in the first month.
I know some people who have security update with some budget phones from Xiaomi (2022 models) in August.
Long gone are the days when stock Android was the best. Because all other Android skins were laggy and full of bugs. Now even a $300 phone (with pretty decent specs) from Realme or Xiaomi can perform very well in everyday tasks.
Motorola phones or Pixel phones are good if someone absolutely loves the look of Stock Android. And hates all other skins. For everything else, there are far better phones out there at better prices.

For example the Note 11 Pro 5G, but it was called “Note 11 Pro+ 5G” in India? This is a name used on a Dimensity powered Redmi Note for the global/Chinese market

Can’t agree more, even if you want a hassle-free experience, avoid Xiaomi altogether.

absolute joke. I paid £150 for the Redmi Note 10s last year and it came with the charger in the box. Xiaomi needs to get a grip on itself
